23 February, 2020, City International Hospital (CIH) in cooperation with Aeon Mall Binh Tan and HCMC Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion organized the blood donation program.
The voluntary blood donation drive attracted hundreds of customers who actively participated in blood donation. This is a meaningful activity to help the community, especially before the anemia situation during the Covid-19 epidemic season.
More than 300 units of blood were collected from more than 300 volunteers at Aeon Mall from its staff and customers as well as registered guests and staff of City International Hospital.
"Voluntary blood donation" is organized annually by City International Hospital and Aeon Mall.
According to health experts, blood donation is a beautiful act, not only to save people who help the community but also to bring health and benefits to blood donors.
Nguyen.V.A (25 years old), living in Tan Binh district, said, "I participate in blood donation twice a year because I know that blood donation is also good for my health, not to mention it also helps the community so I always excited about such volunteer programs. "
Sharing the same opinion, Mr. T.B.S, 37 years old, living in District 9 shared that although his house was quite far away, but because he was visiting relatives at City Hospital, he registered for blood donation. According to him, we needs to organize programs like this periodically because many patients are in desperate need of blood during treatment.
