Avascular necrosis of femoral head is a common disease in the hip that occurs in middle-aged or young adults caused by a total or partial obstruction of the blood circulation, which results in anemia and bone necrosis.

Recently, City International Hospital received the case of Master Hue Thang (Head Monk of Vinh Phuoc Pagoda). The patient had had this disease for over 03 years. Despite having treatment from many different hospitals, the disease condition just got worse over time. Until he met Dr. Pham Chi Lang, Head of Orthopedic Department at City International Hospital, he then fully recovered from the disease.
