Facing the complicated situation of COVID-19 disease epidemic, on the afternoon of July 31, 2020, the Steering Committee for COVID-19 epidemic prevention in Ho Chi Minh City organized an online meeting with the 24-district district Steering Committee for epidemic prevention and control.

At the meeting, Prof. TS BS. Nguyen Tan Binh - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has reported the disease situation in the city. Up to July 31, 2020: 24 districts have received 22,392 people coming to the health report, taking samples for 14,094 cases. Currently there are 1,351 people with negative results, 03 people with positive results.

As of 17:00 on July 30, 2020, the city has 148 people with respiratory symptoms and a history of leaving Da Nang from July 1, 2020, being isolated and monitored and performing the Covid test - 19 at isolated areas of hospitals. Of which 83 cases have negative results, 65 cases are awaiting results.

Reporting at the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Tan Binh said: The current testing capacity of 13 units has been approved by the Ministry of Health to confirm that COVID-19 in Ho Chi Minh City is about 8000-9000 samples / day. In addition, units such as FV Hospital, 175 Military Hospital, 7A Military Hospital, Sub-Department of Animal Health are being surveyed for testing capacity, the Department of Health will continue to update.

Facing the current epidemic situation, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has also proposed the City People's Committee to direct the implementation of strengthening measures to prevent and control COVID-19 diseases under the Prime Minister's Directive No. 19.

Concluding at the meeting, the City People's Committee directed the branches at all levels to be absolutely not subjective and neglected, not to let disease outbreak. Reviewing local epidemic prevention plans, consolidating the Steering Committee for epidemic prevention. Suggest people to wear masks in public places as well as implement measures to prevent epidemics.

Encourage meetings, online conferences, enhance the application of information technology systems to exchange work online. Organize body temperature measurement and request to wear a mask at the entrance for everyone who comes office headquarters and work contacts of the agency units.

For meetings: Participants must wear a mask, restrict handshakes, exchange at close distances; Wash hands before and after the meeting. Conduct cleaning of the meeting room, disinfecting surfaces and objects in contact with meeting participants after each meeting. For urgent activities of the health sector such as humanitarian blood donation organizations, it is necessary to continue and apply disease prevention and control measures as prescribed by the health sector during the implementation process. .
