Brain hemorrhage has an estimated death rate in the first month of about 35 - 52%, more than half of all cases of cerebral hemorrhage die in the first two days. This rate is especially high in middle and low income countries. Patients who are fortunate to cross the death row also suffer from long-term sequelae, severely affecting life and society.

Risk factors for brain bleeding

According to the study, the majority of patients with hospitalized cerebral hemorrhage were men, with relatively high average age, common risk factors include a history of hypertension, smoking, drinking alcohol. Accordingly, men account for the majority with 65.4%; 73.8% of patients had a history of hypertension. 12.9% of patients had a history of stroke, 2.5% had a history of liver disease, 8.1% had a history of diabetes and 38.5% of patients had beer or alcohol.

Screening and screening for vascular disease to prevent brain bleeding.

The study also reported smoking status, divided into 2 groups including smoking when smoking history was recorded smoking ≥ 10 cigarettes per day for at least 6 months before admission and no Smoking includes smoking but less or stopping for more than 6 months or not smoking. Smoking prevalence of cerebral hemorrhage was higher than the rest, and the difference was statistically significant.

In addition, patients with cerebral hemorrhage have a history of heavy drinking every day when patients drink ≥ 100g of alcohol / day within 2 months before admission or patients with alcohol poisoning within 24 hours before stroke. The number of grams of alcohol in each drink is different, is estimated as follows: 1 bottle of beer (4.5% alcohol) 0.5 liter containing 17.8g of alcohol; 1 glass of alcohol (40% alcohol content) 0.05 liters contains 15.8g of alcohol.

In cerebral hemorrhage, according to experts, hypertension is the most important risk factor that can be corrected because of the fact that the incidence of primary cerebral hemorrhage decreases with the treatment of hypertension. Of the 480 patients with cerebral hemorrhage, doctors recorded 354 patients (accounting for 73.8%) who had a history of hypertension, 56 patients (accounting for 12%) who actually did not have hypertension many times. Medical examinations and 70 patients (accounting for 14.6%) did not know their blood pressure before the disease due to not attending health check.

Brain hemorrhage is understood like?

This is a type of stroke that can be fatal and occurs when there is bleeding due to a rupture of a blood vessel in the brain parenchyma. It is thought to be most often caused by an aneurysm, which is a balloon-like bump on an artery. Hemorrhage occurs when the aneurysm wall bursts and blood escapes to surrounding tissue, killing brain cells.

There are usually no warning signs, but sometimes cerebral haemorrhage occurs during excessive or intense physical activity, such as prolonged coughing, straining due to difficult defecation, or straining to lift heavy objects. The patient may feel like a sudden blow to the head and then a sudden headache. Other symptoms include stiff neck, photosensitivity and blurred vision or blurred vision.

More dangerous is that an aneurysm may burst or the brain may be damaged. If the patient survives, memory and concentration are often affected, depression and anxiety disorders may occur. developing in about one in 20 people with cerebral hemorrhage. Headache, fatigue and loss of sensation in other parts of the body during brain post-hemorrhage recovery are not uncommon.

Although aneurysms can occur silently in many people without risk factors, many increase the risk of brain bleeding. A study conducted in the Netherlands found that people with two (or more) close blood relationships who had a history of subarachnoid hemorrhage would have a one-fourth chance of developing subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Therefore, it is recommended to undergo screening every five years if you have two or more bloodline relatives of level 1 or higher who have been under the spider, such as your mother, father, brother, aunt or uncle (but not your grandma or grandfather).
