Pushing one another to eat and drink has become popular during the New Year days. However, this seemingly hospitable work has many potential dangers. In particular, with the new regulations on driving away, drivers must not drink alcohol.

Tet is a time for family to reunite and rest after a long year of work and hard labor. On this occasion, people often gather together to wish each other with beer, wine glasses and special dishes that are often included in the New Year such as banh chung, banh tet, braised meat, bitter soup, Chinese sausage, ...

This is also the reason why many people gain weight, increase blood sugar, blood fat, hot in people after Tet. That is not to mention diseases caused by excessive drinking, gastrointestinal diseases (diarrhea, indigestion, etc.) due to broken foods, infections.

Besides, according to the newly issued decree, the driver of a car that violates the highest alcohol content (level 3) will be fined from VND 30 to 40 million, depriving the right to use the driving license 22 - 24 months. Motorcyclists violating alcohol content will be fined from VND 6-8 million, depriving the right to use the driver license for 22-24 months. Drivers of bicycles and rudimentary vehicles of between VND 400-600 thousand. Therefore, if you are on the road after drinking alcohol, you must not drive.

Excessive alcohol causes serious health effects, especially the liver and stomach.

Take control when drinking alcohol

According to data from the Ministry of Health, Vietnam is in a group of countries with a high proportion of men drinking alcohol and an increase in both sexes. The abuse of alcohol during Tet has left many consequences, especially the loss of control in traffic. Besides, excessive drinking also causes great damage to the health itself, especially the liver, kidneys, stomachs are the parts that must directly "bear the burden".

According to MA.DBS Do Duc Tin, Department of Executive Health Screening, City International Hospital, to limit the aforementioned diseases, people need to pay attention to the amount of alcohol consumed by the body.

Dr. Tin recommends that we can drink red wine every day 1 glass, 2-3 cans of beer / day for men or 1-2 cans / day for women is to ensure health. Depending on the actual situation of each person, it is necessary to consider the appropriate amount of drinking, avoiding drunkenness which is out of control. Especially when drinking, absolutely do not drive.

Patients with gastric ulcer, liver disease (increased liver enzymes, fatty liver) should not break the alcohol consumption rate in the spring. Because the yeast in alcohol is considered an "enemy" of the stomach.

It should be noted when eating Tet foods for health protection.

Eat and drink on Tet holiday

Food on New Year especially banh chung, tet cake, ... delicious but very easy to cause indigestion. Therefore, Dr. Tin recommends eating only moderately and supplementing with sour foods good for digestion such as onions, beets, pickles ... Each member needs to eat a whole group of substances including cereals. , protein, good fats, and fiber and mineral vitamins from fruits and vegetables.

With hot weather, people need to pay attention to how to preserve food. Do not store leftovers stored more than 2 days, it's best to use them all during the day.

People with diabetes and young children should limit the sweets in candies, jams, soft drinks, ... These are foods that are easy to gain weight, obese, tooth decay.

In particular, people should change the perception that they have to force each other to eat and to drink wine and beer on Tet. Everyone's health is different, to avoid the unfortunate consequences of overeating, please choose the way to eat and food that suits your health. In particular, respect the opinion of visitors to the home when they refuse to eat meals for health reasons.

Experts recommend that, after a long Tet holiday, constant partying, you should spend a few days to detoxify the body with a light diet such as vegetable soup, drink plenty of water, limit fat, sweets and exercise. exercise regularly.
