A cataract is a clouding of the lens in the eye that affects vision. For people who have cataracts, seeing through cloudy lenses is a bit like looking through a frosty or fogged-up window. Most cataracts are related to aging.

Medical insurance in Vietnam sets the standard for cataract surgery for patients with Vision acuity of 2/10 or less (normal Vision acuity is 10/10). However, patients diagnosed with a cataract always ask the doctor: "When do I need surgery?"

This means A cataract does not really affect your life, you can until the symptoms appear clearly," said Dr. Trinh Bach Tuyet, head of Ophthalmology Department at City International Hospital. You may notice that your vision is less clear and distinct. Car headlights and streetlights can become dazzling, and you may experience difficulty moving from shade to sunlit areas.
